Stunning C18th traveling knife and fork in a hand tooled leather case. The Horn handle of the knife unscrews to reveal a ‘winkle picker’ or snail remover. There is also a nutmeg grater that slides onto the fork. Nutmeg was very popular in the C18th, more so than salt. All in wonderful original condition and presented in an original very well made tooled leather case. Probably Of French or Dutch origin. A very rare set indeed. Circa 1720-30
