A truly very special 18t Century Needle Case which is beautifully carved throughout, in fact the best and most deeply carved I have ever owned. The figures (approx 21 in all) are superbly carved along with the detail. Most likely a ladies needle case for smaller needles used in finer work of metal threads and silks. It unscrews into two sections. The condition is perfect as is the colour. Stunning example 11.5 cm’s long circa 1740
