Superb tiny 18thC Trinket box, possibly for jewellery. Cross banded in walnut. Original lock/plate and hasp of comparable diminutive size. New key (does lock) Wire hinges replaced with later 19thC butt hinges. Couple of knocks to corners and cross banding but not surprising as this was probably for travelling. Fabulous colour and patination. Circa 1730-40
