Rare Small 17th Century Carved Oak Child’s or Table Chest. The front carved with naive swirls and punch work with deep carved nulling below. The edges null carved. The original front swirl carved ‘fascia’ spans across the front as a plinth type of decoration, different to a plank coffer. The original one piece top held on by, I believe replace ring hinges. Exceptional colour and patination. Original throughout Circa 1620-40
