Two superb totally original figural Coquilla snuff boxes. Both exceptional colour and patination. Both untouched. One stands on small original feet, although different colours they were just carved from different parts of the nut. The other sits on it’s base with feet carved into the underside. One has superb buttons to his jacket and one in his hat. They both have original glass eyes. The hinges have a tiny amount of infill filler but this is very old and solid. Both bought as part of a collection put together in the last 40 years. These two were bought on the Portobello Rd in the ‘80’s. Circa 1810-20
