Stunning travelling carved knife and Fork with tooled leather case. Carved in Boxwood. Depicting Faith, Hope, Charity and Justice. Possibly also Adam and Eve. Around the white metal base of the fork is scratch carved HVD. Around the base of the Boxwood on the fork is carved ANNO 1768. The beautifully tooled leather case is adorned with hunting scenes with rabbits and dogs. This is dated 1770 and initialed COD. The three pieces in exquisite condition. Possibly of Dutch origin. Wonderful originality and Patina, especially the leather case........Fresh From a Private Collection
