Rare wonderful quality matched pair (His and Hers) well patinated Lay Figures carved from solid sections of mainly fruitwood. Superb detail to the hands, feet and head with a very expressive faces. Being in untouched and original condition, every joint moves and works well. Most probably of French origin They both have different but lovely mellow Patination. Undoubted quality and over 84cm’s tall, a rarity in it’s self. Circa 1880-90
