Superb 17th Century German Ladies Perfume Flask. Turned from Burr Oak in the shape of a Gourd and inlaid with Silver wire, birds and leaves. The top is a Silver cap with a solid cast Owl stopper and chain. There are small losses to part of the inlaid wire but it retains all the original birds etc which have etched wings. The detail is superb for the size. A Rare small piece with a lot of presence.………8 cm’s tall including the Owl. Lovely patination. Circa 1650……
