Wonderfully original and untouched 17thC Joynt stool. Originally used as extra seating around large refectory tables in Great Halls. Either stored on their sides resting on the tables stretchers under the table or against a wall. Dating from Circa 1650-60 with typical so called, gun barrel legs of the Cromwellian era. Superb and correct unmolested 6 pegged top sitting on a simple moulded frieze with original turned feet under the block stiles and stretchers. With so many over restored and fake stools around this beauty is a breath of fresh air. Genuine untouched and a superb colour. A superb piece of history
