A very fine oak C18th turned leg cricket table of diminutive size. The top measuring only around 22 inches diameter and being only around 26 inches tall and original height feet. Wonderfully turned leg, stop chamfered to the blocks either side. Three turned stretchers meet at a central curve sided boss in which sits a finial. To the underside of the boss is a blacksmith made metal support. The under frieze is “cupids bow” shaped. All beautifully pegged. An oak cross strap supports the two piece top. The colour and patination are stunning throughout. Possibly made on the Welsh border (Marches) having some Welsh features but being more refined. A Rare table in fine original condition dating to around Circa 1730-40.
